Tingaling. Tingaling.

Oh, what's that sound? It's our new refrigerator, chiming a dainty tune to let me know that I have left the door open. How nice.

As I was loading food into the grand stainless steel masterpiece that is our new refrigerator this afternoon, I was in awe. In awe that Samsung and BlogHer were generous enough to include me in a group of bloggers who received appliances and get to review them. And in awe of this stinkin' refrigerator itself.
Plus, it goes really well with the pretty bunch of flowers my sweet husband got me the other day.

And see, it's not even like we needed a new refrigerator. Well, about two months ago we did. We were set to move into a new house the next day. The new house did not have appliances, so the chance to get and review a refrigerator was such a blessing! Our old house was packed and we were ready to close. Shortly before the closing, we got a call that the house was struck by lightning and burned down. Shocked, we shifted gears and moved to a different house. A house that already had a refrigerator.

But because of BlogHer and Samsung's generosity, we still got their new French Door Refrigerator and were able to do something really wonderful with our old one. And man, oh man, is our new refrigerator worth its weight in gold. It almost felt too good to be true, to be honest, when the Best Buy delivery guy pulled up.
Let me tell you, if you are at all considering purchasing or saving up for a new place to store your cold food items, this is it. Especially if, like our family, you have lots of hungry people at your house. Because this refrigerator can hold tons of food for hungry tummies. Like, 29 cubic feet of food! That's 4 cubic feet more than any other refrigerator in its class, by the way. What have I filled all that extra space with? Well, you know, the MckNormal: tubs of hummus, bunches of cilantro, dozens of eggs and a giant bowl of Texas Caviar!

Oh, and bless my soul, I discovered tonight that six (Yes, I said six!) gallon jugs of milk can fit in the doors alone.

Not to mention that there is tons more space in the doors for condiments, earache medicine and beta blockers. And then there are all the shelves to boot. Man.

The French doors open wide and the refrigerator is deep. With room for tall pizzas in the freezer and more neat drawers and compartments than I have even yet explored, this refrigerator is like uncharted waters. I cannot wait to wake up in the morning and see what else I can learn about it.

Oh, but I already have noticed that the interior lights (Does that make it sound like a car? Man, I would drive this thing if it had wheels. It's sweet!) come on slowly when you open either one of the French doors. So if I were to, say, head there for a midnight snack, my eyes would not be shocked by a sudden, bright light, but instead will be eased from darkness to light.
Man, a refrigerator that is considerate of my retinas. What innovation.

The stainless steel is buttery and beautiful, the power cool and power freeze features amazing, the French doors are light and effortless to open and close, and even the handle on the freezer moves up as you grab it so you don't need to bend over and pull the big door open with all your might.

Easy. Beauty. Size. Function. All wrapped up into 29 cubic feet of well-lit goodness.
I am so grateful. Thank you, BlogHer and Samsung!!
